Labels are used in totally different areas and partially have to fulfill opposed requirements.
For instance a type label is supposed to adhere permanently on a product for years, though a merchandise label on a glass is supposed to be removed residuelessly after purchase.
Labels in the chemical industry need to adhere permanently on barrels which are transported worldwide, therefore, they are exposed to all kinds of different climatic conditions.
Labels in the food industry possibly need to adhere on frozen surfaces but on the other hand do not need a long durability.
Labels are flexible and fulfil a range of requirements which can go up to an extreme capacity (e. g. heat up to 350° C). Not only the material itself but the consistence of surface and the adhesive as well are determining factors for the range of label application. Though one thing all labels have in spite of unclear variety in common: They can be imprinted with a thermo transfer printer. |
