Thermo labels consist of a paper or synthetic material provided with a specific coating which thermally reacts.
By partial exposure of heat of the thermo pressure strip of the label printer the coating color turns from white to black whereby the „imprint” emerges.
Thus, there is no need of any ribbon. Thermo labels are basically used for transient applications, e. g. forwarding labels, garment tags made of thermo cardboard etc. Thermo labels are comparatively heat sensitive and not permanently light resistant. |
