Laser labels do not need specific label printers as well as corresponding software, they can be printed with every customary laser printer. Laser labels usually come in sheets in DIN A4 format as well as in special sizes like DIN A3 and DIN A5
Laser labels are available as labels made from paper as well as made from synthetic material and even with removable adhesive. The single sheet can be top splitted and as a result be separated in various single labels; the current maximum are up to 356 single labels on only one DIN A4 sheet.
The advantage of the inkjet labels is the opportunity to prepare the low or high gloss paper with a variety of different adhesives. Since contrary to laser printing no heat is caused, all available adhesives in combination with the corresponding paper can be used. Further advantages of inkjet labels are the entire water resistance and non-toxicity of the printing compared to the highly toxic toner of the laser printers.
Inkjet labels on reels are a special feature that can be printed with special printers.
